He is proud to have been able to serve Port Chester and the surrounding communities for 41 years, having raised his own children here, and he will continue to practice and serve the community in a part-time capacity.
Dr. Levy has a particular interest in treating diabetic dogs and cats, and dogs with Cushing’s disease, having treated his own animals with these maladies.
Dr. Levy grew up in the Bronx and graduated from the City College of N.Y. He then completed veterinary school at the University of Bologna in Italy. On a personal note, Dr. Levy and his wife of 51 years, Marcia, enjoy seeing their 4 grandchildren, dancing Argentine tango, and tending to their 11-year old rescue dog, Gabby.

Jean has been working alongside Dr. Levy for almost 10 years, but his connection to his mentor feels longer. He is appreciative for the invaluable hands-on experience he’s had over the last decade, which has further solidified his dedication and love of this field.
Like his colleagues, animals always interested him at a young age, but Jean is excited to employ Dr. Levy’s attitude that there is nothing but the best for his customers and patients as he moves forward with the new management of Port Chester Animal Hospital. Fortunately, they exercise that same philosophy.
Jean feels most rewarded when the patients and clients have a great experience. He looks forward for their return to see the patients’ progress and growth. To make their visit less stressful is always his goal and his passion for what he does always shines through.

Lox’s deep-rooted love of animals goes way back to her childhood pets and her bonds to them. To her, pets are family.
It was a full-circle moment that she would then enter the veterinary field in 2021, at the very practice she and her family would go, to seek Dr. Levy’s care and treatment of their furry loved ones. But, fur is not where Lox leaves it - her connection goes beyond the exterior - spanning to pets with scales and feathers too.
Outside of work, Lox continues to spend time with animals and has been fortunate enough to not only volunteer with Lucky Dog Refuge, but with them, save animals’ lives. With their support, she has facilitated the rescue of dogs and cats whose owners could no longer care for them, even opening her home to rehabilitate feral kittens and cats.
Lox aims to make everyone’s visit, whether they be sick or scared, a little more comfortable and to feel at home.
